Ron Hickey, CFA, CFP®

Wealth Advisor

As a Professional Wealth Advisor at Precision Wealth, Ron talks to clients about their most important financial goals, and helps construct tailored investment strategies to make those goals a reality. His work with Precision, an independent firm, enables him to fulfill his biggest priority for his clients—to provide unbiased financial advice.

“My clients are my family away from home and I approach their financial situation as if it were my own.”

Before joining Precision Wealth, Ron worked as a research analyst, where he specialized in North American security selection. This involved analysis and appropriate selection of stocks to be included in diversified portfolios.

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose by Eckhart Tolle – An excellent read for those looking to become more in touch with their mental stillness. At times, especially with children, life can move quickly. Eckhart Tolle’s writing has reconnected me with the little day-to-day nuances which largely went unnoticed.

Wealth is just a number that can buy you tangible things, most of which you’ll grow tired of or will need replacing. In my opinion, true wealth is less about how much is in your piggy bank, and more about how much free time you can afford to spend filling your memory-bank. Travel while you’re healthy, make time for friends/family and enjoy the moment.

Good Will Hunting (1997) – Trust, passion, and finding your true purpose are all wonderfully intertwined in this emotional sole searching film. Equally impressive, it was written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damion and produced with a $10 million-dollar budget to later gross just over a quarter billion dollars at the box office. Talk about return on your investment!

My biggest win is being self-employed at an independent firm which allows me to provide my clients with unbiased financial advice. Corporate decision makers do not restrict or incentivize me to recommend proprietary investment vehicles – ones most beneficial to their bottom line.
